Yantai Fruits General Co***ny was founded in 1965, covering an area of 210,000 square meters, building area of 62,000 square meters, double-section railway special line of 3,419 meters, cold wind storehouse and gas-adjusted storehouse of 7800 tons. The co***ny, with fixed assets of RMB120 million, is the largest collecting center of fruits, agricultural sideline products, and means of production in Jiaodong area.
In order to adapt to the reform and opening up, in 1992 established Sino-foreign joint venture Yantai Xianmei Fruits, Vegetables, Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and Yantai Rongfeng Foodstuff Co., Ltd. In 2002 obtained the right to import and export. Yantai ¡°Xianmei¡± fruits occupy higher reputations in the foreign and domestic market, and obtained the title of ¡°China Famous Fruit¡±,exported to more than 20 countries and areas of South Asia and Europe etc,annually export more than 30,000 tons of fruits, vegetables, peanuts, and aquatic products, earned over $10 million; good reputations have obtained the trust of foreign and domestic customers, has become the key enterprise in earning net foreign exchange profit from exports in Jiaodong.
